As a kid, Emily Mills loved drawing and reading cartoons like Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side. She was fascinated with how comics used wit, humor, and storytelling to communicate a message.
Today, Emily brings those same concepts to her professional work. Emily leads her Nashville-based creative studio, Flavor Graphics, along with her husband Joseph where they serve businesses and nonprofits with illustration, design, and animation. Emily is most known for her visual note-taking, aka “sketchnotes.” She is the author of “The Art of Visual Notetaking” and teaches online courses at SketchnoteAcademy.com.
